Make a voting plan.

Register: October 5 in person, by mail, or at an OMV office; October 13 online through GeauxVote.

Vote early: October 20–27, excluding Sunday, October 25, from 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m.

Absentee: request by October 30 at 4:30 p.m.; ballot must arrive by November 2 at 4:30 p.m.

Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026, polls 6 a.m.–8 p.m.

  2. Vote early: October 20–27, 2026, excluding Sunday, October 25, 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m.
  3. Absentee: request by Friday, October 30, 2026, 4:30 p.m.
  4. Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 6 a.m.–8 p.m. Runoff, if needed, Saturday, December 12, 2026.
