Early voting for the Tuesday, November 3, 2026 election starts Tuesday, October 20. You don't need a reason to vote early, and any Caddo Parish voter can use either early voting site. Here is everything in one place.
When
Tuesday, October 20 through Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Early voting is closed Sunday, October 25. Saturday, October 24 is open.

- Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters, 525 Marshall St, Suite 103, Shreveport, LA 71101.
- Shreve Memorial Library, Hamilton/South Branch, 2111 W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118.
The Registrar of Voters office is open every early voting day. The Secretary of State notes that the Hamilton/South Branch site may be open on limited dates, so call the Registrar at 318-226-6891 to confirm before you go. What to bring
Bring a picture ID: a Louisiana driver’s license, a Louisiana special ID, the LA Wallet digital driver’s license, a U.S. military ID with your name and picture, or another generally recognized picture ID with your name and signature. If you don’t have a picture ID, you can sign a voter identification affidavit and vote.
Voting by mail instead?
If you qualify to vote absentee by mail (for example, voters 65 and older), request your ballot by Friday, October 30 at 4:30 p.m. through the voter portal or the Registrar of Voters. Your voted ballot must reach the Registrar by Monday, November 2 at 4:30 p.m.
Election Day: Tuesday, November 3
Polls are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Election Day you vote at your assigned polling place, which you can look up by address on the voter portal. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, Louisiana holds a runoff on Saturday, December 12, 2026.
Find Hanh on your ballot
Hanh Williams is #151 in the race for Shreveport City Council District A on the Secretary of State’s sample ballot for November 3. Check your own sample ballot on the voter portal before you go.
