Push cards, shirts and a full office: this week on the ground in District A

Volunteers in campaign shirts assembled more push cards at the office, the banners and signs arrived, and Hanh is walking District A every day, including MLK and Cooper Road.

Friday, October 2 was a full day at the campaign office at 1500 N Market St, Suite B-112. Volunteers came in to assemble more push cards, then headed out to hand them to neighbors, all in the white HANH WILLIAMS City Council District A shirts.

Push cards, put together by hand

A push card is the small card we hand to a neighbor at the door or on the sidewalk. Volunteers sat around the office table to put the new batch together, then took them out into the neighborhoods. Each card is a chance to start a conversation about District A.

When you see someone in a white campaign shirt, that is one of our volunteers. Say hello. They are your neighbors, and they are giving their time because they care about this district.

Banners and signs have arrived

On Thursday, October 1, the big banners and signs arrived at the campaign office. If you have asked for a yard sign, or you would like one, use the yard sign request page or call the campaign at 318-286-7000 and tell us your street address.

Walking District A, every day

Hanh is out walking District A every day. This week that includes the Martin Luther King neighborhood and the Cooper Road area. Walking the district is how she hears what matters to the people who live here, one door and one porch at a time.

As Hanh puts it in her own words: “City Council service should be about people, not politics. I will be a strong, steadfast advocate who ensures that every neighborhood and resident in District A is heard, respected, and represented.”

Come help

There is room at the table. If you can give an hour to assemble push cards, walk a few blocks, or put a sign in your yard, we would be glad to have you.
